This Privacy Policy explains how "Planning Technologies" LLC ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the Expensi application for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). Your expense records stay on your device. The App contains no advertising and does not track you. This policy describes the limited information we do process, why we process it, and the choices you have.

The following data is created and kept on your device. We have no access to it, and it is not transmitted to us or to any third party:
Data is stored using the standard data protection of iOS. You can delete it at any time in the App, or by deleting the App.
The App can create a backup file of your data, optionally protected with a password. The backup is created on your device and shared through the standard iOS share menu. You decide where to save it (for example, in the Files app or in iCloud Drive). The App does not upload backups to our servers. To restore data, you select the backup file yourself. We recommend protecting backups with a password and storing them in a safe place.
The App asks for permissions only when you use a feature that needs them. You can grant or revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings. Refusing a permission only disables the related feature.
With your permission, the App uses the camera and your photo library so that you can attach photos of receipts and other images to your transactions. Images are stored only on your device.
If you enable app lock, you can protect the App with a PIN code and unlock it with Face ID or Touch ID. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by iOS: the App only receives a confirmation that authentication succeeded and never receives or stores your biometric data. Your PIN code is stored only on your device.
If you enable reminders, the App uses local notifications scheduled on your device. We do not send promotional push notifications from this App.
We use the following services. They process data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.

None of these services receive your expenses, amounts, categories, notes or attachments.

We may promote the App through Apple Search Ads. Apple measures the results of these campaigns on its own platform under Apple's privacy rules. We receive only aggregated campaign reports and no information that identifies you. The App does not show advertising.
Data stored on your device remains under your control and is permanently deleted when you delete it in the App or delete the App. Analytics data is retained according to Google's retention settings: event-level data for up to 2 months, and user-level data for up to 14 months from your last activity.
Because the App has no accounts, we usually cannot identify data that belongs to a specific person. If you have a question about your data, contact us at support@expense.am.
All network communication of the App is encrypted using HTTPS. Your expense records never leave your device unless you share them yourself. You can protect access to the App with a PIN code, Face ID or Touch ID, and protect backup files with a password.
Google services and the currency rates service may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, with appropriate safeguards.
Depending on where you live (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the App, and on the performance of our agreement with you for paid features. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@expense.am.
We do not sell personal information, and we never sell or share your financial records.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
